TOUNRAMENT OF THE MONTH!
For every month of the year, yours truely will be hosting non-standard tounraments for RBY. In preparation, I'd like to use this topic for tourney ideas for the year to come.
12 Tourney's in all, and I already have the two ideas in mind.
Pro Petit Cup
Like the Pokemon Stadium Cup Division, this tournament woudl use basic pokemon with height and weight restrictions.
LOL Ingame Tourney.
Standard Tourney, except that you can use only one of each one time only TM per team. So if you want Tauros to have Fire Blast, nothing else on your team that can't learn Fire Blast naturally can use Fire Blast (So both Golem and Tauros cannot have Fire Blast, but Tauros and Moltres can). This Tourney assumes that Missing No. was never discovered, so one of a kind TMs are useable once, but purchasble TMs can be used as often as possible on a team (IE Reflect and Mega Punch).
Ideas Welcome. I will compile a calendar by December 31st and start the first tourney January 1st.

Only your ingame team and levels may be used. The honor system will come into play here.

You should do a tourney were illegal pokemon can be used. One uber per team. and this is a Advance tourney suggestion. I know were not big on advance tourneys but i though a change once in awhile will be good.
Illegal: Pokemon that usally own all other pokemon. Ubers. Deoxys, however, can only be in his original form, not power or speed. Some legends are considered illegal, but i have yet come up with a proper list.
Just a thought.

I also have another idea, a one-use RBY tourney. The more you win, the less you can use. Meaning that you have to switch out teams every round.
Just another thought.

Don't be too overconfident rekt. I mean, I could always get Hipno to battle for me. >XD

BTW, I like type restriction tournaments. Having a no Normal and Psychic types would be cool.

The Bargainer’s Tourney
Sleep clause Battle Timeout Freeze clause Self KO clause OHKO moves are banned Wrap/Fire Spin/Clamp is banned Species clause Evasion ban Mewtwo/Mew ban
This is a Random Pokemon Tournament With Fully Evolved Pokemon.. No two people will have the same Pokemon, and each contestant will receive Seven Pokemon to work with to create a team (At least 2 Standards, 3 UU, and 2 random ones that are either Standard, UU, or NU).
The contestants will select six, and the remaining Pokemon will go into a pool of freelancing Pokemon. Contestants are allowed either swap team members from the pool of freelancers (first come, first serve), or trade a team member with another contestant. However, when a contestant is eliminated, so are their Pokemon, and those are removed from the pool of eligible Pokemon.

Thought of a few more tourneys. January's Tournament will be Petit Pro Cup.
Middle Child Tourney
Sleep clause Battle Timeout Freeze clause Self KO clause OHKO moves are banned Wrap/Fire Spin/Clamp is banned Species clause Evasion ban Basic Stage Clause Stage 2 Clause
Only Stage One Pokemon may be used in this tournament (IE, Ivysaur, Sandslash). All other normal Tournament Rules Apply
RBY 1.5
Sleep clause Battle Timeout Freeze clause Self KO clause OHKO moves are banned Wrap/Fire Spin/Clamp is banned Species clause Evasion ban Mew/Mewtwo Ban
This is played in GSC mode. However, you can only use RBY Techniques, RBY Pokemon, and their Evolutions new to GSC (Such as Blissey, Crowbat, and Kingdra). You may use breeding techniques and GSC TMs, but only if they are RBY moves (such as Ice Punch on Alakazam or Haze on Dragonite).
Badge Battle
Sleep clause Battle Timeout Freeze clause Self KO clause OHKO moves are banned Wrap/Fire Spin/Clamp is banned Species clause Evasion ban Mew/Mewtwo Ban
This tournament is for eight people
Each person will begin with a badge and start at its Gym city. Each round, they may move over to a neighboring city. If an opponent is at that neighboring city, they may challenge each other for their badge. The defender’s team must consist of at least three Pokemon of their badge type. The loser will forfeit their badge that they defended. If a defender has more than one badge, then a specific badge must be challenged for. An opponent is eliminated if they lose all their badges. Also, a contestant is eliminated if they lose four times (this is to prevent stalls late in the tournament when a contestant has more than a few badges and victories go back and forth).
Badges-Type-City
Boulder-Rock-Pewter Cascade-Water-Cerulean Thunder-Electricity-Vermilion Rainbow-Grass-Celadon Soul-Poison-Fuscia Marsh-Psychic-Saffron Volcano-Fire-Cinnabar Isle Earth-Viridian-Ground
