I know Smogon isn't exactly known for being an intelligent forum, but it's scary knowing that complete imbeciles like them lurk the bowels of the internet.

Smogon is like a poem of mankind that depicts the greed and stupidity in our society. The poem recites that these characteristics are necessary because without them, there would be no accurate portrayal of the world. While it'd be a better place if Smogon were gone, you would be missing the greed and stupidity and might wonder where you are.

They never cease to give me a chuckle though, specifically the rejects like gormenghast and Spanky who left GameFAQs because they couldn't troll well enough to take over the Emerald board. You kind of want to feel bad for these idiots, but you realize it's what they wanted so I don't care. I also like how Smogon displays their 3rd grade mental capacity by saying "i forgot to log in wit my alts lol" when I was praising myself in the Smogon story, but anybody with at least half a brain would clearly see that I was making a parody of what goes in their forum.

I suppose the parody worked well if they're going to be in denial about it; either it's that or they really are cream-of-the-crop morons, but obviously it's the latter. As stupid and pathetic as they are, I can't bring myself to hate these posters such as Doomsday, MS, gormenghast, Spanky, gormenghast, and all the other random Smogon users who really need to work out their trolling better.

However, what I find most fascinating about this thread is how stupid Smogon made themselves look like. Spanky assuming I was praising myself accidentally, another idiot thinking I was mentally inept because I was writing bad on purpose, some moron talking about this "apology" I made on Smogon. It's actually pretty scary when you realize these users are serious. Still, I think they're all just losers who need some form of acceptance and fitting in, so they try to use me as their high. It would be appropo to think they have serious mental problems, given by their posts, but I don't think that just because you're a blithering idiot makes you a retard. Sometimes it just makes you a blithering idiot.

It's pretty obvious that the idiots at Smogon are incapable of admitting that they're wrong ever. They make tiers and they try to force them down everyones throats and they pretty much alienate anyone new who tries to join the Smogon community. The only good thing about smogon is their netbattle server, it's pretty easy to win on their server btw.

For the record, I was banned after making exactly 2 posts, both of which disagreed with GGFan's opinion of Smogon. One was described earlier in this thread. The other said "If only that site wasn't so much better than this one".

Yeah, I believe it was around last year where I criticized you for what the THE Alternative is, but I can understand your view much more now since I've visited all the other major communities and they're wastelands. Smogon isn't the absolute worst, but it's pretty bad. I'm just temporarily visiting since it does offer a fair sized tournament.

I think this is a good example of how idiots are roaming the community (I'm Apples2, trying to ask a simple question).

So, this place probably has some of the more intelligent insight on actually playing the damn games. Oh, and having been playing under Smogon's RBY rules (where Wrapping moves are allowed) really breaks the gameplay. Unfortunately, I've relied on using it a few times to win some matches (mainly just Dragonite), so I like the ruleset that's here.

I'm just going to stay in the dying GameFAQs boards, but if you get this place fired up again and start going at it with tournaments again, I'll pop by more often.

I've been wanting to make my return for some time now. The problem is that I'm leaving the country for a month so I won't be able to play until I get back. In regards to the return of THE Alternative, anything is possible with enough motivation and the right timing.
