Ok, here's the SDCS topic now. Here's the background of the two battlers in this thing.
GGFan: Yours truly. I entered the 2007 RBY League as the defending champion if you will, as I'm the winner of last years RBY League. So far, my title defense couldn't have gone any smoother. I battled every week in the regular season and only lost one battle (Though that one battle was a complete disaster). Although I was consistent, I didn't win the division until the last week due to the competition in it, I clinched when I beat Shippou in the final week in one hell of a battle. Now I'm looking to defend my South Title and advance into the Undisputed Championship Series and hopefully remain the champ of this particular tournament. Also, I'm one of two battlers who were in last years RBY League that are still in it.
ragnaar: ragnaar came in the RBY League as a sub when M3k made his departure from THE Alternative. ragnaar replaced the Hall of Famer in the second round, so he started off behind. Losing to Cygnus didn't help matters either for him, so things were looking very bleak for ragnaar especially with me and SamG tallying up points. ragnaar faced Kirby the week after and in one hell of a battle that saw ragnaar pull off an amazing comeback for the win, ragnaar was treading on ice as he went up against Shippou. It looked like these two didn't battle, I made the next round topic as if ragnaar got double DQd along with Shippou, but they battled the day before and in that battle, ragnaar came back from 4-2 to win 1-0.
Ragnaar HAD to beat rekt, he also needed me or SamG to lose. I barely won my battle, but SamG lost his, and that gave ragnaar the opening. Ragnaar was awarded the DQ win and this forced a best of three 2nd place showdown between him and SamG. Ragnaar came at SamG with everything he had and it seems like he's finally getting a luckstreak of his own after having so much horrible luck in the past. Ragnaar swept SamG 2 games to 0 and now finds himself against me. Ragnaar will now have to beat me three times, he's never beaten me before where I'm undefeated against him. Ragnaar has easily been the story of THE Alternative and what a story it would be if ragnaar could beat the defending champ and advance into the Undisputed Championship Series!
As you may have read in the last topic, I gave divison winners an advantage. Division winners have to beat their opponent twice, 2nd place guys have to beat their opponent three times. If ragnaar wins he wins the South, so this is basically a title defense. Good luck ragnaar, I'm really pumped for this.
Game 1: GGFan 2-0
Game 2: GGFan 3-0
Winner of the SDCS: GGFan!
