And we have now reached the climactic (or anticlimactic) finals of moving forward! As with every major tournament, here's the story of the two finalists.
GGFan
Yes me, the creator of THE Alternative and easily the most successful and prolific battler in it's history. I have won the majority of it's tournaments and am looking to make another mark in the legacy I've created here. I am up against Slayer, a guy who has never beaten me in a final round of a tournament, and how ironic it is that the most successful battler is going up against a guy who has yet to win a tournament. I will as usual, not underestimate Slayer and respect his dedication, but he'll have to play really well from stopping me now, even though the odds are against me. Can I beat Slayer twice in a row to win?
Slayer
Slayer, in his own right, is a legend here at THE Alternative and is one of the most successful battlers in it's history. He has been with THE Alternative since it's first tournament, the RPT, from nearly 2 years ago. In about two years, Slayer has yet to win a tournament, despite reaching the EDCS of the 06 RBY League, the semi finals of TOS5, the finals of the triple type tourney, the finals of TOS6 and the finals of CCBAS. And what's even more appaling is that all of these losses were against me. I have without a doubt, been the ultimate obstacle in Slayer's path that has prevented him from no longer being the longest tenured battler to have never won a tournament at THE Alternative.
However, this is easily Slayer's biggest chance to win a tournament, as he has to lose twice, having won the winners bracket and only needs to win once. But still, Slayer knows that he still has to score at least one win against me, something he has only done once to me in tournament play. And I still beat him when it mattered more.
GGFan vs Slayer: GGFan 5-0
GGFan vs Slayer: GGFan 3-0
So, good luck Slayer.
