Type/s: Grass/Poison
HP: 353
Attack: 258
Defense: 268
Speed: 198
Special: 298
Weaknesses: Psychic (2x), Fire (2x), Ice (2x), Flying (2x), Bug (4x)
Resistances: Grass (0.25), Electric (0.5), Water (0.5), Fighting (0.25)
Tier: UU
Moveset #1: Swords Dancer
Swords Dance
Body Slam
Hyper Beam
Sleep Powder/Stun Spore/Mega Drain
The Swords Dance set. Vileplume is not good at this with a medicore attack stat backed by no STAB attacks and terrible speed. However, it gets mentioned because its movepool is kind of lacking. SD up and sweep; Mega Drain is there to hit foes like Oma, Kabu and Onix if you're worried about them, or you could use a powder.
Moveset #2: Growther
Growth
Mega Drain
Sleep Powder/Stun Spore
Rest
Growth tank set. Vileplume does have a really good special stat going for it, so you could try it. However, it doesn't get much attacks to go with it. Your choice on what powder you want.
Moveset #3: Supporter
Sleep Powder
Stun Spore
Mega Drain
Hyper Beam/Petal Dance
Double powder. The fourth move is basically your finishing attack; Petal Dance is better at finishing something off than Hyper Beam but try to use it to where you don't get screwed.
Overall Vileplume is a very medicore Pokemon. Defensively it's pretty well rounded but it doesn't really have any good attacks. If you want a defensive tank with powders just use Tangela and there are better Swords Dance Pokemon out there.
Other options: Nope.
