Snorlax is arguably the best Pokemon in the game, part of it is because of it's monster movepool. It's 523 HP makes up for it's lacking defensive stats and with 318 attack + STAB, it's one of the deadliest attackers in the game. But what set is the best set?
Snorlax 1
Body Slam
Earthquake/Surf
Hyper Beam
Selfdestruct
Original Snorlax. Everyone and their Dachshunds uses this or has used it in some point when using a Snorlax. The set utilizes Snorlax's STAB to the max, with Body Slam, HB and Selfdestruct. Only a select few Pokemon who aren't rock can survive Snorlaxs Selfdestruct, it even OHKOs Aerodactyl with a CH! You can never go wrong with this set.
Snorlax 2
Amnesia
T-Bolt
Ice Beam
Rest
Original Amnesialax. Many people have tried this at some point, not as popular as the original Snorlax but it can work, since after three Amnesias Snorlax 2HKOs most Pokemon.
Snorlax 3
Body Slam
Earthquake
Reflect
Rest
SamGLax, a recently created Snorlax set. This set utilizes Reflect on Snorlax and can make you mega resistant to physical attackers, mainly other Snorlax and Tauros'.
Snorlax 4
Body Slam
Amnesia
Reflect
Rest
SamGSCLax, another set SamG created. This set, if pulled off right can create stallwars. Snorlax is practically indestructable IF you can set this up.
There are differences in the sets. Mainly, the other three in my opinion are bad luck magnets. The original Snorlax can still work with some bad luck, mainly because Selfdestruct is sort of like an insurance policy. Amnesialax doesn't have Body Slam so without something paralyzed, in my view it really wont be able to set up against things like Tauros, Snorlax and other physical attackers like Kangaskhan as well.
SamGLax is interesting though, with Reflect it can screw over physical attackers, but it's also a bad luck magnet against them. It also does a poor job of handling something like Exeggutor, but regular Snorlax doesn't always fend off Exeggutor either. SamGSCLax only gets screwed by CHs basically, but it also has a poor attacking range. It still also takes a good chunk of damage from a Golem Explosion and Snorlax Selfdestruct. It can also be hard to get three turns to set up, with SamGSCLax your main goal is to stall things basically and against certain Pokemon, completely screw them over as you whittle their HP away with Body Slam.
As for which Snorlax set is the best, each one can work, but I think the most well rounded is the original Snorlax.
