SkarmWhory
HP: 333
Atk: 258
Def: 378
Speed: 238
Sp. Atk: 178
Sp. Def: 238
Standard Skarmory:
Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers / (no item)
- Drill Peck
- Whirlwind
- Rest
- Sand-Attack/Curse/Toxic/Thief
~This is said to be the best physical wall, as it has no physical weaknesses and a buttload of physical resistances/immunities (Immune to Poison and ground, 2x resists Normal, Flying, Steel, and Ghost, 4x resists bug). The first three moves should always be used, the last move depends on you. Sand-Attack lets you mess up potential sweeper (namely lastpoke curselax), Curse lets you go head to head w/ Cursers so you can WW them. Toxic is kinda nub since Skarm is usually met with Zapdos/Kou/Forry/something else that rests/resists Toxic, and Thief is nubsauce since you'll be met with something that could afford to lose its Leftovers.
Other Options:
Steel Wing, Sandstorm
These aren't very viable options, as the above set is the best set available. Sandstorm is for old TSS teams, and Steel Wing if you want to beat Rocks.
Opinion:
This is the best physical wall, and 1 half of the "dreaded" SkarmBliss combination. I haven't had any problems with Skarmbliss since 2003 so meh. Skarmory still does it's job of walling physical hits and sleeping them off like nothing. Though a sleeping Skarm is no match for a fully drummed lax, though....
Counters:
Nidoking beats it since it resists toxic. Omastar can be a counter as well, especially sleep talking ones. Generally, special attackers beat Skarm, especially if they can switch into Skarm's underwhelming Drill Peck.
