As you may or may not know, I am addicted to Scrubs and House. I have both frist seasons of both shows, and watch the re-runs when they are on. I know every character on the shows, what actors play them, and the relationships that happen in each show. I have no clue, nor give 2 shits if anyone on this board watches either, but if anyone does, feel free to join in the argument!
Dr. Cox:
Dr. Cox is the best doctor on at Sacred Heart Hospital. He is able to identify any known problem with a person and exalted for his talent. Though there is one thing about Dr. Cox that makes him different from any other doctor: he fears getting too close to people. After his divorce with his sweet heart, (Jordan) he always pushes people aside, calling them names and embarassing them as people any chance he gets. The main character, J.D., is under Dr. Cox's service, as well as the top intern at Sacred Heart. Dr. Cox always refers to J.D. as girl names such as Susan, Rebecca, Jessica, Mallory, and Veronica. As well as making such characters as Elliott, Dr. Turk, and Dr. Bob Kelso feel stupid by his ability to outsmart them.
---
Now on to Dr. House. Dr. House is the best damn doctor in the surrounding counties. He can figure out any ailness simply by using trial and error. He has a devoted team of doctors, who are oblivious to the fact that not only is Dr. House addicted to pain killers, but that he has serious mental illnesses that could alter his job handling. Throughout the show, Dr. House has to battle his old demons by confonting his ex-wife, as well as helping his best friend with his own relationships.
All in all I have to go with Dr. Cox on this one. Dr. House is too much of a 'I'll do it eventually' doctor rather then the 'Do it now and right' doctor that Dr. Cox is. And the fact that Dr. Cox has the funniest lines ever created. My favorite has to be: 'You know what people are, Lady? Bastards. Bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling.'
