Basically Jynx is a slower, more accurate alternative to Gengar, and is also a better attacker in general. Its best role is as a lead because Jynx is most likely not going to be the focal point of your team and really should never be your only sleeper. This is because Jynx is very frail and always has to deal with being outspeeded by Gengar.

If you really want a lead sleeper, you'll probably be better off with Gengar in the long run. While Hypnosis has very shaky accuracy, if you believe in the laws of average you'll get the sleep over Jynx 2/3rds of the time. Thanks to SamG for pointing this out.

Other options: Seismic Toss does the most damage to Starmie.

Jynx 2HKOs it as well with max and average damage Blizzard I believe. Dunno I why I put "only Pokemon in the game" though. Must have been on crack or a bad typo. Also Zapdos and Articuno easily 2HKO Tauros with Blizzard and Thunder, Thunderbolt and Ice Beam BARELY 2HKO it if it does max damage twice (1 HP over Tauros' HP). Crabhammer has to hit for average damage and max damage to 2HKO Tauros. Omastar 2HKOs Tauros with Hydro Pump too. Alakazam 2HKOs it with two max damage Psychics.
