Woohoo! 10 numbers away from total completion on the RBY analysises!
Type/s: Water/rock
HP: 323
Attack: 328
Defense: 308
Speed: 258
Special: 238
Weaknesses: Electric, grass, fighting, ground
The usable one of the two fossil Pokemon.
Swords Dance
Body Slam/Slash
Hyper Beam
Surf
Kabutops is another SD Pokemon. It's faster than Kingler, can eat normal type attacks but has some problems with ground attacks, most notably STAB ground attacks. Basically the idea is to SD up and sweep. Slash is a good move if you can't find the opportunity to Swords Dance. Like any other SD Pokemon, it's best to pull out Kabutops later in the game when you take advantage of the opponents paralyzed and weakened team.
It's a lot easier to beat in standard with things such as Starmie and Lapras prowling around. Yes a Swords Danced Kabutops can pretty much sweep whether it's standard or UU but Kabutops has a much harder time being used effectively in standard, it does better in UU. It's another SD Pokemon with it's own unique traits. It's special is pretty bleh though, it has a hard time dealing with special attacks. Another reason it isn't standard.
It also takes neutral damage from water moves, as well as being weak to the common T-Bolt and EQ. Kabutops can be still effective though because of it's sweeping ability.
I dub this Pokemon...............UU
