Guess I deleted this by accident. Good thing I saved all of these on my computer. Time to bring back the disappearing Dragonite.
Type/s: Dragon/Flying
HP: 385
Attack: 366
Defense: 288
Speed: 258
Special: 298
Weaknesses: Ice, Rock
Dragonite has the third best overall stats in the game, cool.
Hyper Beam/Body Slam
Thunderbolt
Thunderwave
Blizzard/Surf
Dragonite has a whopping 366 attack, the best attack stat in the game. A shame it gets no STAB from any of them so it really can't take advantage of them. Dragonite is still an effective special sweeper than can boltblizz and carry an attack. The idea here is to use T-Wave to neutralize Dragonite's only mediocre stat, speed. T-Bolt hits those waters that carry Ice Beam, one of the main reasons that Dragonite isn't used as much as you would think.
There's some prediction in playing Dragonite. Predict switches to waters, T-Bolt them. Obviously you can't stay in unless the water is paralyzed and you CH'd. Blizzard hits Exeggutors nicely as well as those Golems and Rhydons but Explosion can be deadly. This set is basically like Starmie but with an attack, less speed and better physical defense. Despite it's 4x ice weakness, no ice attack will kill Dragonite unless it's a STAB one. Prediction is a key in making Dragonite effective. The right switches can help out your game when a Pokemon is up against a Dragonite, Dragonite isn't just a factor in itself. When you go up against a water, try switching to Chansey and absorb a T-Wave and you have an advantage.
The attack is meant to hit low defense Pokemon for much more damage than Drags special attacks will do. I like Hyper Beam because it can really catch things like Jynx and Alakazam off guard with a CH it OHKOs them. Nice little feature. Surf can be used over Blizzard if you're worried about Golem exploding in your face, plus it's not that common so it can be a nice surprise.
Set #2
Agility
Wrap
Surf
Hyper Beam
Agility is deadly in that if you get paralyzed, it overwrites the speed loss. So basically, you Agility and outspeed everything and Wrap. After whittling the foe's HP enough, let loose with Hyper Beam. Surf OHKOs those rock types like Golem and Rhydon. Gengar is your worst enemy here, free Hypnosis. Or better yet, try and predict the switch to take advantage of Dragonites prediction factor.
Dragonite is standard. Great stats, paralysis supporter, effective special attacker and can wield a physical attack.
I dub this Pokemon..........Standard
