This is a Pokemon you can't refuse.
HP: 413
Atk: 358
Def: 338
Speed: 178
Sp. Atk: 188
Sp. Def: 188
Curse Rhydon:
Rhydon (M) @ Leftovers
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Curse
- Roar
~If you see Rhydon, this is what you'll most likely see. It can beat out Curseskarm 1v1, and can beat normal cursers that don't carry EQ (might can stand up against Curselax too). Best in the late game when the waters are gone.
Standardish Rhydon:
Rhydon (M) @ Leftovers
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Zap Cannon/HP Bug
- Roar
~This is played differently than Cursedon, since Zap Cannon will allow it to paralyze its common switchins (Eggy, Skarm, Suicune) and beat them back with EQ/Rock Slide. HP Bug is here if you hate Eggy that much (It does 81% max before lefties), so it's worth mention. Rest isn't listed because Rhydon can't really afford to rest unless you're packing a heal beller, and even then it can lessen Rhydon's effectiveness.
Other options:
Counter, Dynamicpunch, Fissure/Horn Drill, Fire Blast, Rollout, Submission.
Counter is a surprise since no one expects it anymore (did anyone expect it before??), Dynamicpunch/Submission are options if TTar/Bliss are bothering you, though you're better off just using EQ against both. Don't use Fissure/Horn Drill unless it's a OHKO-themed team, or else you're a faggot. Fire Blast is a nasty surprise for Forry, who can be ohkoed by it (don't use it against Skarm, you can do close to the same damage with +1 Cursed Rock Slide anyways). Curse+Rollout could be fun once the waters/phazers are gone lol.
Opinion:
I like Rhydon. I hate that 4x water weak though. It's good that HP Legends were banned, which brought Rhydon back from the shelf, and it's good to be back, indeed! This thing just kicks ass and takes names. He gets a free switch on Forry, Skarm, and Zapdos and can get a free hit with double-stab moves which he uses very well.
Counters:
Suicune, Slowbro, Blastoise (bulky waters period), Meganium, Celebi, Exeggutor, Gligar/Donphan somewhat.
