Decided to check back in on this place? Anybody still here. I see a couple of "recent" posts.
In any event, I got finals next week, and then I'm off for summer break. I might get back into net battle for the summer, and I also recently picked up D/P for giggles. Maybe someone can help me learn three gens worth of battle tactics, since I never learned G/S/C competitive and never touched R/S/E.

We've been dead for a while, I just checked back here to see if anyone else still checks in sometimes. It kind of sucks.

Aww...
I saw GGFan posting on the Diamond board at Gamefaqs, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to check this place again.
Too bad it went under.

Hey Kampfer, it's good to see you again. It's been a long time since you were here.
Anyways, THE Alternative is pretty much dead. D/P kind of killed battling, at least to the point where only Smogon and Shitty (I mean Shoddy) battle can exist in the American scene of battling. Pokemon Inside is the only place I battle in right now, because the European circuit actually has tournaments in other gens besides spamming D/P over and over.
It's nice to know that you remembered this place, and hi HcM.
But yeah, don't expect THE Alternative to come back as a force. I loved this place and it was great to have a consistent source of RBY play, but it seems that it's time has ran out.

Yeah, it sucks that this forum is dead. I would just like to say thanks for the Smogon story though, made them look even more stupid than usual.
Imagine if someone from there came here to try and spam the forum? I know some of them are still that retarded so it wouldn't surprise me.
